Freedom's Way: A program for anxious and depressed children

Freedom's Way is a program developed by Freedom From Fear, a non-profit organization established on Staten Island in 1984. The program has been developed and is supervised by licensed mental health professionals.
Freedom's Way incorporates fun and exciting activities with learning skills to manage emotions in a healthy, proactive way. The program is open to children ages 7 -13 years old.
The first ever Freedom's Way program was held from August 15 - 26, 2011. Thirty children attended and a wonderful time was had by all. The children learned better ways to deal with emotions, made new friends, participated in arts and crafts, music, yoga, cooking, sports and even a special Freedom's Way Olympics! Many of the children from 2010 are excited to return to the program this coming summer.
Freedom's Way will be held on Staten Island at Moore High School from August 15 - 26, 2011.
